Restaurants on Pratumnak Hill, Pattaya

Pratumnak Hill (เขาพระตำหนัก – Khao Phra Tamnak, also written Pratamnak) is the green headland between Pattaya Bay and Jomtien. It has the Big Buddha, the viewpoint, Cozy Beach, and a lot of condos and small hotels — but no single restaurant street. Places are spread along Pratumnak Soi 4, 5 and 6 and the roads down to the beach, so most visitors ask the same question: where do you actually eat up here?

We run a kitchen on Pratumnak Soi 5 — Eatali Soi 5, Italian and Thai, open every day 09:00–24:00. This page is our local answer, meal by meal. It is honest about what the hill has and does not have, because guests who know what to expect are guests who come back.

What kind of restaurants are on Pratumnak Hill?

Four kinds, roughly. Thai family kitchens in the sois (som tum, grilled chicken, noodle soups — cheap, good, mostly lunch and early evening). Seafood grills and beach cafés around Cozy Beach, best on a swim day. Hotel restaurants along the clifftop, which are pricier and aimed at in-house guests. And a small number of independent international restaurants and cafés, most of them open from late morning.

Two things catch people out. The hill starts late: before 10:00 very little is open. And many kitchens rest between about 14:00 and 18:00, so a late lunch takes some looking.

Breakfast on Pratumnak (from 09:00)

If you want eggs before 10:00, options are thin. Our kitchen opens at 09:00 daily with a breakfast menu that runs until 13:00: the Breakfast Set at ฿129 with coffee or tea included, shakshuka (฿180), avocado toast, ham and cheese toast (฿240) and a smoked salmon bagel (฿295), plus espresso coffee. There is free Wi-Fi if you need to answer emails first.

Lunch near Cozy Beach

Cozy Beach has simple grills and som tum stands at the sand. For a sit-down lunch with air-conditioning, walk 10 minutes up to Soi 5: stone-baked pizza, pasta, salads and sandwiches from 11:30. Thai dishes join the menu from 14:00 — pad thai, massaman, green curry — so an Italian lunch at noon and a Thai late lunch at 15:00 both work. We cook straight through; there is no afternoon closing.

Dinner on the hill (till midnight)

Evenings are when Pratumnak is at its best: cooler, quiet, and every kitchen running. For seafood, head to the beach grills.
