Where to Eat in Pratumnak: A Local’s Honest Guide

Pratumnak sits between Pattaya and Jomtien - quieter than both, greener than both, and honestly better fed than most visitors expect. We run a kitchen here, so consider this a local’s view of how to eat well on the hill, meal by meal.

Breakfast: the hill starts slow

Most of Pratumnak doesn’t wake up until 10. If you want a real breakfast earlier, options are thin - a few coffee shops open around 9, and our own kitchen at Eatali Soi 5 starts serving at 09:00 daily (right now with a ฿99 breakfast set that includes free coffee or tea, until 30 September). Eggs any way, fresh bread, proper cappuccino.

Lunch: beach or soi?

Beach lunch means the simple grills and som tum stands near Cozy Beach - great for a swim day. For a sit-down lunch, the sois hold small Thai kitchens and a handful of international spots. Our full menu runs all day from open to close, so pasta at noon or pad thai at 3 both work - no afternoon closing like many places here.

The afternoon gap

Here’s a Pratumnak secret: between 2 and 6 PM, many kitchens rest. If you’re hungry at 4, look for places with all-day kitchens - ours is one of the few on the hill cooking straight through.

Dinner: the hill’s best hour

Evenings are Pratumnak at its best - cooler air, quiet streets, and kitchens at full speed. You’ll find seafood grills, Thai family restaurants, and Italian - which is where we live: fresh pasta made to order, 30+ pizzas from ฿179, and Thai favourites in the same kitchen. Open until midnight, kitchen till 23:30.
